…we’re not even talking Kentucky!
Tomorrow, March 5th, our very own Bryan Duncan will be heading to San Cristobal, Guatemala! Sounds awesome, right? Well…that’s because it is! So what’s the reason for this departure from the States? He’s going to serve at a local girls home called Prince of Peace, whose mission is to “provide for the whole development (physical, spiritual, emotional, educational, and vocational) of orphaned, abandoned, and abused Guatemalan girls in a Christian home environment so that they, in turn, can serve the Lord and their own nation as godly women of good character and training.”
He will be serving alongside a group of college students from the Baptist Campus Ministry at EKU. They will be hosting outreach events and developing building projects, adding on whatever else the home needs for them to do! To say the very least, they’re going to be busy!
The home has become a “beacon of light” for the community, as it is not only a safe haven/refuge for the 50+ girls who reside in the home, but also provides a medical clinic and other community-based services.
Bryan is incredibly excited about this opportunity! He truly views it as a blessing to be able to serve those in need in another country! He’s pumped to see what God is going to do during this week-long excursion to Guatemala!
Pray for him as he goes, and pray for the girls resided at Prince of Peace! It’s our hope to share his experience with you upon his return, so get excited!
