Posts Tagged "Contests"

So way back in 2008 we had some free time on our hands. Imagine that. Anyway, we thought it would be cool to come up with some blogger personas that would be content writers on our blogs. Of course we got pretty carried away, but that’s what we’re best at. We were digging through old artwork we had and came across these gems and we just had to share them with you!

Here’s to bringing up old stuff!

Jennifer Low-Rez

Jennifer Low-Rez

Jennifer’s goal was to bring us the newest and most interesting news and information, but in the most awkwardly unclear fashion imaginable.  You might read for hours and think back, “I have no idea what she was talking about.”  Similar to her Idol co-host, Steven Tyler.

Ben Aflac

Ben Aflac

Ben was going to provide content of great value, but in an overshadowed manor. Similar to how the Aflac duck is never quite heard, or his career will always be overshadowed by his former college roommate – Matt Damon.

Conway Penny

Harold Lloyd Jenkins changed his name to Conway Twitty (yeah, not sure how much better that was) back in 1957. However if he was still around and blogging today, we feel he would need a name not closely resembling one of the most popular social media platforms, Twitter. Thus, Conway Penny was born.

Angelina Goalie

We just thought it would be much more appropriate for her to dress up in LOTS of clothing. It’s better for everyone that way.

So what do you think of our blogger personas?? What ideas do you have? We’d love to see what you can come up with, maybe we’ll create our favorite suggestion. Comment below and we’ll announce the winner!

We had a Bulletin Board Contest where each of our team members designed their own bulletin board to display near their workspace. We had a few general parameters, but we can’t really say they were followed too well!  Regardless, the award ceremony was pretty memorable!

Today marks the start of the first ever Surge Slim Down competition. The Slim Down is a weight loss competition originally suggested by our own Account Rep Katelyn Gandolfo that is much like the hit TV show The Biggest Loser. Contestants will have 3 months to lose as much weight as they can and are competing on the grounds of total percentage weight loss.

Chocolate eggs, fake grass, and big giant bunnies. Easter has come. To celebrate, we had ourselves a team building exercise. Now I realize that the phrase “team building exercise” conjures up thoughts of employees out in the middle of Whoknowswhere “learning” the names of people they’ve known for 10 years by throwing a ball around in a circle, but here we do things a bit differently. It’s way more fun.

Check out the epicness of our Easter celebration:

We hope that you had a wonderful holiday full of joy! We sure did!

Surge Promotions is training hard-core for the contest tomorrow. Watch out!
